Troubleshooting
To make sure that the device is working properly, follow the three steps:
1. Verification of LEDs
2. Checking the device information (System info)
3. Check the device logs (description below)
Verification of LEDs
Normal operation of the device is signaled by LEDs as follows:
LED |
Correct operation |
|---|---|
Power (button light) |
Continuously lit |
STATUS |
Blinking |
ACTIVE1-8 |
Slow flashing in stand-by mode, quick flashing when the corresponding modem is in use |
Checking the device information
The device information (device type, software version, modem IMEI, IMSI, network signal strength, network name) can be found under System > System info. See System.
Device logs
Under System > Logs you can find the latest lines of device logs: modem log, database log, and system log. In case of any problems with the device, these logs are a valuable source of troubleshooting information.
Extended device logs can be downloaded via the Download logs button on the same page. See System.
When the device is not reachable
Check if the device is correctly connected to the network. Check the LED status of the RJ45 socket.
If the device does not respond due to a malfunction or incorrect user settings, reboot the device using the power switch (or the RESET switch on the back panel).
If you still cannot connect to the device, it is possible to restore factory IP settings using the SW button.
Restoring factory defaults
The Reset to Default Settings function allows you to quickly restore the device to its original factory configuration.
Warning
Restoring factory defaults permanently removes current user configuration. Ensure any necessary settings or data are backed up before proceeding.
Restoring factory defaults resets the following to their default values: IP settings, time zone settings, database content, and Linux OS users/passwords.
To initiate the reset:
When the device is ready to operate (STATUS LED is blinking), press and hold the SW button for 10 seconds.
Release the SW button after 10 seconds - the display shows “Factory reset”.
Wait until the system reboots. Default settings are restored.
Note: after the reboot the device is still finishing the factory-reset process, so the system can take longer than usual to start.
